Team Overview

The assessment data loading team provides data loading, visualization, troubleshooting and tool development to faciliate the import of assessment data into the Analytics and Insights platform.

Description

This position is responsible for loading K-12 assessment data into the Analytics and Insights platform, troubleshooting those data loads and updating data visualizations of that data. Assessment data is a key and foundational dataset that allows our customers to fully utilize the Analytics and Insights platform to impact instructional outcomes.

This position will work in our assessment data team, leveraging knowledge of K-12 assessment data and technical competencies, to load assessment data and to resolve and rapidly address technical questions and issues, with a focus on providing an outstanding customer experience.  Additionally, this role may be required to create internal and client-facing documentation and contribute to the evolution of the Analytics and Insights product.

Your day-to-day job will consist of:

• Loading assessment data into the Analytics and Insights platform, using pre-built tools, scripts and SQL queries
• Updating data visualizations for customer assessment data using SQL and other tools
• Updating loading request tickets with customer facing comments and questions
• Troubleshooting data loading issues as they arise using critical thinking skills, SQL queries and other tools
• Using basic SQL queries to identify data anomalies

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant and related work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
• Additional experience may be substitute for an advanced Degree.
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience developing and maintaining data visualizations using SQL or other tools
• Experience with and understanding of K-12 assessment terminology, practice, score data and test metadata
• Understanding of basic data warehouse concepts and terminology

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing technical documentation
• Understanding of the concepts of Agile development
