Team Overview

Our People Experience (PX) team leads PowerSchool’s human-resources function, equipping and encouraging PowerSchoolers to reach their potential while driving business results. The PX team manages the organization’s global workforce infrastructure; supports the overall employee experience; and attracts, develops, and retains talent.

Responsibilities

Description

The Compensation team develops, implements, and manages our overall compensation programs in support of our business operations.

Your day-to-day job will consist of:

  • Equity to Cash Process Management
    • Manage day-to-day administration of PowerSchool’s newly adopted cash incentive program by leveraging our 3rd party equity to cash administrator (Fidelity); serve as Fidelity SPS (Stock Plan Services) System Administrator, leading the monitoring and troubleshooting of all data and integration feeds
    • Ensure newly adopted equity to cash plan transactions (including but not limited to distribution approvals, termination reconciliations, vesting schedules, and stakeholder communications) are processed correctly and in a timely manner (frequently reconciles and perform auditing procedures relating to equity to cash transactions to ensure accuracy)
    • Ensures compliance by compiling and providing data for month-end accounting processes, ad-hoc compliance reviews, and other Legal requirements
    • Prepares periodic equity reporting, and provides data and analysis related to Executive and Board holdings/payables
    • Manages communication with current and former employees regarding public to private equity impact and all future offerings at PowerSchool. This includes facilitating periodic educational sessions, presentations, and communications to promote an understanding of PowerSchool’s compensation programs
    • Support the adoption and implementation of any future equity offerings at PowerSchool (under the Bain umbrella)
  • Compensation
    • Support the design, development, and administration of enterprise-wide Compensation Programs; to include Spot and Retention bonus programs
    • Draft/modify Job Descriptions and ensure compliance with FLSA Laws
    • Conduct pay analysis to determine competitiveness of pay and make recommendations for pay adjustments
    • Evaluate and analyze salary data as a result of promotions, external and internal job offers, pay equity reviews, and award programs
    • Support the Annual Compensation Planning Cycle
    • Assist with the evaluation of employee job leveling and pay levels while considering internal equity and market competitiveness
    • Liaise with People Experience Business Partners on compensation related matters
    • Assist with special projects and initiatives related to Compensation
  • Other Duties as Assigned
    • Work across multiple functional teams and with internal/external stakeholders on varying initiatives and programs, including compliance, tax, etc.
    • Maintain an effective partnership with Finance, Accounting, Legal / Compliance, Payroll, HR and Tax
    • Prepare custom reports 
    • Support the broader Total Rewards team on special projects and initiatives

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant and related work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
  • Additional experience may be substitute for an advanced Degree.
