Team Overview

Our Finance team is a passionate, high-performing group committed to supporting PowerSchool operations through accurate and timely financial transaction management. The team provides critical business guidance on a broad range of accounting, reporting, and analytical projects, ensuring the integrity of financial data.

Responsibilities

Description

  • The Financial Analyst will serve as a key member of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Finance and will be expected to leverage financial systems to streamline PowerSchool’s financial reporting and forecasting. By way of first-class management reporting, diligent analyses, and strategic modelling, the Finance team plays a key role in informing leadership of actual and projected performance in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment. You will be empowered to expand PowerSchool’s use of financial planning software, visualization tools, and ETL tools/processes to automate our finance operations and extract valuable insights from PowerSchool’s various software tools.  We are seeking an experienced finance and systems professional, to move our team beyond Excel and maximize the value of our data and financial planning software.

    Responsibilities

    • Extract data and harness insights from/using CRM/ERP/BI/Financial Software tools
    • Function as Adaptive Insights Systems Admin and represent FP&A on technology discussions with Accounting, Data Governance, and other cross-functional operations
    • Translate Excel models to Adaptive
    • Build dashboards in DOMO or other visualization tools

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Qualifications include:

    • 3+ years of experience in a finance or technology setting working with CRM/ERP/BI/Financial Software tools
    • Expert knowledge of Adaptive Insights or similar financial planning software (Vena, Anaplan) with the confidence to function as our Adaptive Systems Admin
    • Direct experience with Salesforce CRM, Netsuite ERP and visualization tools (Domo, PowerBi, Tableau)
    • Strong understanding of RDBMS and experience leveraging ETL and BI tools on large data sets/databases
    • Working knowledge of accounting and finance to draw upon while translating Excel models to Adaptive
    • Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables, vlookups, and sumifs - VBA, MDX or DAX knowledge a plus
    • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
    • The ability to work cross-functionally to effect change in our systems and our data
    • The willingness to dive into the detail to resolve even the smallest of issues
    • Experience working in SaaS-based business and constructing SaaS-driven data analytics/KPIs as an asset
