Our People Experience (PX) team leads PowerSchool’s human-resources function, equipping and encouraging PowerSchoolers to reach their potential while driving business results. The PX team manages the organization’s global workforce infrastructure; supports the overall employee experience; and attracts, develops, and retains talent.

Description

The Talent Acquisition team develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process. The team works cross-functionally with business leaders and PX to ensure we find the right talent for the organization.

 

The Manager, Talent Acquisition is responsible for overseeing and driving the recruitment efforts for the organization. This role involves managing the recruitment team, developing and implementing talent acquisition strategies, collaborating with hiring managers across departments, and ensuring that the organization attracts top-tier talent. This position is responsible for developing and strengthening PowerSchool's employment brand both externally and internally to ensure that it is highly aligned with PowerSchool's core purpose, core values and long-term vision.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced HR professional with a deep understanding of the recruitment process, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving organizational success through talent.

 

Your day-to-day job will include:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of recruiters, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure the team meets recruiting goals.
  • Developing and implementing innovative talent acquisition strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates across various job functions.
  • Proactively building the candidate talent pool by seeking out and building relationships with top talent for current and future job openings within operations. (Including direct calls, networking, posting, and engaging on social media, sourcing candidates from various geographical areas, professional communities, companies, alternate industries, diverse groups, schools/educational institutions, hiring and community events, forums, job boards, etc.)
  • Partnering with PX business partners and business leaders across the organization to understand their workforce needs and ensure that PowerSchool is identifying, attracting, and hiring the best calibre of talent. Collaborating with hiring managers to understand technical job duties, responsibilities, and business requirements.
  • Developing position specific sourcing strategies for hard to fill key positions ensuring there is an understanding of the professional experience, attitude, personality, ability, and skill set needed for a particular position. Rescreening candidates for hiring managers, assist with second interviews, conduct candidate debrief discussions, and offer choice recommendations.
  • Promoting the company as an employer of choice by leveraging social media, networking events, career fairs, and other platforms to increase the organization's visibility in the talent marketplace.
  • Tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to hiring, such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, candidate quality, and diversity hiring metrics.
  • Continuously evaluating and improving the recruitment process to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and a positive candidate experience.
  • Providing training to hiring managers on best practices for interviewing, candidate evaluation, and hiring decisions.
  • Ensuring that all recruitment practices comply with relevant laws and regulations, and stay up to date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in talent acquisition.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or similar work experience required
  • 10+ years’ experience in technology hiring
  • 3+ years of experience in managing and developing team with strong coaching & mentoring abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of recruiting strategies, sourcing techniques, and tools, including applicant tracking systems (ATS) and candidate management platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with internal stakeholders, candidates and vendors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions and improvements in recruitment processes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or other relevant HR certifications are a plus.
  • Familiarity with HR technologies, recruitment tools, and social media platforms for sourcing candidates.
