Responsibilities

Description

This position, under the general direction of the Manager or Technical Lead, Cloud Operations, will be responsible for the ongoing design and development of our deployment automation and tenant management platform, software installations and configuration, continuous systems analysis, technical customer support, and systems administration for the SaaS server technologies used in a multi-cloud environment.   

 

Your day-to-day job will consist of:

  • Own the full-stack design and implementation of the Tenant Manager platform, including tenant deployment workflows, infrastructure configuration management 
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers in both software development and cloud deployment best practices. 
  • Design and develop Infrastructure-as-code automation for Terraform, K8s, Snowflake, and while also executing customer tenant migrations in Analytics and Insights. 
  • Manage and optimize AWS based (EKS) K8s clusters and workloads using Argo CD, Flux, and Helm. 
  • Work with the Product Engineering teams in building out the specifications and provide scalable, reliable platforms for the automation/delivery platform 
  • Operate and maintain orchestration routines in production 
  • Complete periodic application software and infrastructure updates and software version upgrades 
  • Support product development teams in the delivery of continuous integration, continuous deployment, providing templates and patterns to follow to ensure code produced by product development teams can be deployed and scaled on standardized technologies and platforms 
  • Perform root cause analysis for production issues where the root cause is in infrastructure, environment, configuration, or deployment routines; understand when to escalate to product development teams; remediate root causes and implement preventative actions 
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call support including shift rotations where required 
  • Able to communicate effectively and work as a team member to manage all cloud-based systems used within the environment 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant and related work experience. 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or equivalent years of relevant work experience. 
  • Additional experience may be a substitute for an advanced Degree. 
  • Advanced knowledge of web frameworks, including NextJS, React, NodeJS, Material UI, and TypeORM 
  • Advance experience with patterns such as circuit breakers, MobX state trees, and real time Socket.IO communication 
  • Advanced understanding of software engineering principals, including source control and principals such as GitOps 
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Kubernetes, Flux, Terraform or equivalent technologies 
  • Advance knowledge of AWS services, including EKS, EFS, RDS, ECS, etc 
  • Strong Java, Python, and Git experience 
  • Ability to handle a heavy workload with multiple projects and frequent interruptions 
  • Ability to work in a changing, dynamic environment 
  • Strong problem-solving ability across applications and their supporting infrastructure in a cloud environment 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
