Responsibilities

Description

An Associate Quality Assurance Engineer I is responsible for designing and executing both manual and automated tests to ensure high-quality software delivery. Collaborating within an agile framework with engineering and product management, they identify test strategies, performs manual and automated testing, troubleshoot quality issues, and delivers high quality releases.

  • Within an Agile framework, collaborate with other team members to deliver compelling, high-quality solutions via iterative sprint commitments and periodic release vehicles. 
  • Research and internalize proposed software requirements, functional designs, and technical designs. 
  • Develop and implement test plans that result in effective identification of software defects. 
  • Leverage established AI tools & framework for test plan generation and automation to increase QA efficiency 
  • Design, create, and execute effective automation tests using Playwright test automation framework.
  • Perform maintenance on existing automation suite and implement stability improvements where needed.
  • Uphold existing quality assurance and test standards and processes and be a champion in driving further improvements. 
  • Follow sound problem-solving methodologies to identify, troubleshoot, and properly document software defects. 
  • Perform verification of software defect fixes to ensure they resolve the stated problem. 
  • Identify, quantify, and communicate software risks and produce comprehensive mitigation strategies. 

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6 months - 1 year of software development, or quality assurance experience for enterprise software products. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent degree required 
  • Experience developing automation framework in WebDriver IO/selenium/playwright
  • Experience in using latest AI technologies (OpenAI/CoPilot, etc.) for efficiency and productivity improvement 
  • Ability to program in Java, JavaScript and/or TypeScript 
  • Understanding of SQL to manipulate and validate test data 
  • Problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact across various levels of the organization. 
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic, and innovative environment, consistently delivering high-quality results. 
  • Proactive and self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision; demonstrates a strong work ethic and persistence in achieving goals. 
  • Analytical and strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills; meticulous attention to detail.
